Weeks of late

We just wanted to post and say that we have a touch of sadness going on. Our stars of the week have been forgetting to take us home, so we have been hanging out in the Junior Room for the weekends.
In saying this we have been seeing some exciting things happening around the school!
We have had planning day to talk about what we want to learn next year, planting Kowhai seeds that have sprouted into seedlings and are doing very well. We have also been looking at Reuben Patterson for art and making our own versions of his art work. As always we have been busy as ever with Learn and Share.
Take a look at the slideshow...

Weekend with Chloe

We went home with Chloe this weekend. She is a new in our class and has settled in so well.
When we went home with her the first thing that we did was get all her dolls out and have a dance in the lounge.
It was Labour Weekend so this is the time that the school have their booksale, so after our dance we went and helped load books into the trailers to be taken to the hall. It was such a great book sale with lots of people there.
We really enjoyed staying with Chloe and her family. Thank you for having us!

Weekend with Otto

On Friday night Charge, Coco and I slept in the corner of Otto's foosball table, it was a great view and we slept very well. In the morning Otto read us the book Hop on Pop, we loved it and all the colourful pictures.
On Sunday morning we went ten pin bowling with Otto and his family. Otto and his brother both got a strike and there was a fierce battle between them but in the end Otto's brother got a strike in the last bowl of the game and inched ahead to win by 1 point! It was such a thrilling game to watch!
After the game was finished we all got in the car and made our way back to Karitane.

Thank you Otto and your family for having us :)

Weekend with Solaris...

Well it was more of the night with Solaris due to us not going home with him over a weekend. Solaris took us home on Tuesday night and we stayed the night with him. We had lots of fun with him though! We played with Solaris's toy called Simba too! Solaris also had another Monkey for Coco to play with!
We were so tired that we slept with Solaris's teddy bears.

WE'RE BACK!

Yip you read right...

We are back for the rest of the year!
Charge, Simba and I have been enjoy getting to know the class so far this year and we decided that because it's a new class, that haven't had the chance to have us, that we would venture out into the wider Karitane community once again.

So here's the deal...
We get to go home with the Star of the week on Friday afternoon and spend the weekend with their lovely families and come back to school on a Monday morning. It means that we don't have to spend the weekend without any humans. We get bored when we don't see anyone and we tend to get up to mischief.
One of the reasons we go home is to help the children with their writing and it is expected that the star of the week writes a couple of sentences, each day, to tell the rest of the class what happened over the weekend. Mrs Williams sends home a wee kit to help. Inside the green bag is a pencil case full of coloured pencils and pens. There is also a key drive that you are able to load photo's onto. If you don't have a camera then please feel free to ask Mrs Williams and she will give you one to use for the weekend.
There is also a well loved note book that has stories from the previous classes for you to look and anf get some ideas.

If you have any questions Mrs Williams would love to answer them.

This week we are looking forward to going home with Dominic.
